The repair of Pentax K-shift 28mm - sequel.
I started a post about how I successfully repaired a Pentax K 28mm shift lens. Now, probably you want to know how the results are. Well, actually surprisingly good. Of course 28mm on an APS-c camera is not a lot of wide angle, so I had to back-up a while to make this shot, but for the rest I am happy: it is sharp and exhibits a bit of CA, but not a whole lot (and anyway I have seen shift lenses doing far worse in that regard.)
Here is the shot, straight lines are straight; this is with 9mm vertical shift (so almost at its maximum. You would expect a bigger drop in sharpness at the far side (although there is no denying that the upper part is less sharp than the bottom.)
