I’m a creative from Australia. By day I work as a freelance designer and photographer. After hours and on the weekend I run my blog driftandwander.com.au and explore whatever natural or urban wilderness I can find, camera in hand.
I always try and live creatively and photography has taught me to see everyday life in angles, lines of perspective and shades of light. The slight turn of a head, the subtle reflection of afternoon light, incredibly simple moments that most people would pass by inspire me to shoot, discover and explore. I’m never happier than when I’m wandering along a mountain ridge or coastline, camera in hand, seeing what can inspire me. It’s

Raised on a farm in eastern Washington, I yearned for a view not always obstructed by wheat or barley. My Grandfathers worked hard—one a farmer, the other a park ranger, while my Father drove long haul truck—and so, it only seemed natural to utilize the earth as a means for growth, admire and celebrate the grandeur of our landscape, and love the open road. After being raised with hands in the soil, I left the farm to see where these legs could to take me in the American West.

In my art, I study people and their mutual connections. These relationships are a recurring theme. My work is an ongoing study, and each single work is a link, a next step in my process. Each work teaches me something about my relationship towards others, about mutual connections and bonds.
Loneliness, power, control, dependency and trust are recurring themes.
