Up early today (7 am!) to take my car to mechanic. Of course the noise I'd been hearing that spurred me to make today's appointment was gone. Mechanic explained the no-longer-existing sound (a rusted, falling apart clamp that they removed). Had oil changed and two other minor things addressed, since I was there. Took dawgs for a nice long walk when I got home. My sleep cycle usually has me sleeping until noon -- falling asleep between 2 and 4 am, so I miss many daytime hours. I'm going to try to stay awake all day and then see if I can fall asleep by 11 or midnight. It would be very cool to get readjusted so I can be functional with the rest of the people in my time zone.
