Having left Jaimie, Caz & Bobby back in Hoylake, we headed south to the Cotswolds, to a familiar peaceful site (http://www.cotswoldcampsite.co.uk), however......we were warned when we checked in that there was going to be a 30th birthday party over the weekend and there was going to be lots of people around. So we pitched up in the quiet corner away from the tepees, as the owner said they would get the party to pitch near the tepees as they had also hired them all for the weekend. On Friday we left very early to get daddy to a meeting and we all went to see Nanny & Grandad.
We went for a lovely walk and I even met another failed hearing dog called Bronte.
Then, when daddy finished his meeting we all headed back to the site to find that there was literally a festival going on! The people next to us seemed to have created their own party away from the main group and were literally pitched on our doorstep. I’m not being funny but it’s a huge field, did they really need to be so close?? It also turned out they were all drinking and letting the kids and dogs run riot around the field. Mummy wasn’t very happy about this having trodden in dog poo that they failed to clear up. Very unimpressed with these campers!
On Saturday we decided to get up early and go for a nice run before the rain came in, but we did get a bit wet! Then we made some cookies and daddy found a secret leaked recipe for a certain fried chicken, so he made his version which he called KFT as it was made with Tofu!
Then in the night, we were rudely awoken by FIREWORKS!!!! Fireworks I tell you…….how inconsiderate of people. Don’t they know dogs don’t like fireworks?? Nobody warned us so mummy hadn’t given us our special tablets. Things did not go well. Mummy was very cross that they had them in the field without any warning to other campers. I repeat very unimpressed with these campers!! After our horrendous night, we got up late and went for a long walk to the pub. On the way we found this very cute cat in the hedge!
Then when we got back, everything was back to normal and it was lovely!
On Monday we had the tyres changed on Pebbles which was exciting. A man came out in a van and changed them in the middle of the field and we played ball, whilst he worked! Also, mummy went shopping and got Scratchy a new scratching board as I broke his post and she can’t find another one the same. This one came with catnip, so she sprinkled it all over the cardboard thing, and Scratchy started licking it!! It made him go a bit funny and I laughed when he fell over!
On Tuesday we stayed at site and Nanny came over for dinner which was nice. Then on Wednesday we packed up and headed off. Rumour has it, we may be seeing nanny & grandad again….wahooo!! Until next time, love & licks, Rosie xxxx
