Road Trip South
We arrived back at our favourite campsite (http://www.moorcroftholidays.co.uk) late afternoon and started tidying up and doing the washing. Mummy seemed to be sorting lots of things out and the next day the weather was gorgeous
So we took advantage of it and went for a walk on the bay.
Mummy and daddy were still sorting lots of things out and all became clear when we had an early wakeup call the next morning and all bundled off in the car, leaving Scratchy in Iain & Catriona’s capable hands.
We were off on another adventure which meant a ferry. We hadn’t been here before though. We went from Lochboisdale and we were heading to Mallaig. It was a very long crossing and a very long car journey the other side. In Forth William we saw this big cruise ship
The journey was worth it as eventually we arrived at nanny and grandads who were waiting on the doorstep for us! It was great to see them and there were lots of cuddles to be had!
Nanny had a broody hen so when the duck was killed whilst sitting on eggs, a few weeks ago, grandad put the duck eggs under the chicken and she hatched them out. She’s a great mum but confused as to why these chicklings like water so much!
We went round to see mummy’s brothers family but there were lots of dogs there so we stayed in the car. Mummy and daddy had a fun time though.
Having driven down on Saturday, grandad wanted to go and look at a boat in Glasgow, so on Monday daddy drove him all the way to Glasgow and back and he didn’t even buy the boat! The good thing that came out of it though, was that grandad realised it wasn’t that far and maybe they would come and visit us….yay!! Whilst the boys were out (Jim was a token girl for the day!) we relaxed. Molly is in her most relaxed pose
Mummy tried to get a better picture of Maggie and the chicklings
This is Dylan with his new wife Dolly the 4th. Hopefully he will keep hold of this one a bit longer.
Daisy tried to help mummy with her crochet
And Bess even got up on the chair on her own
Tuesday was a very busy day as Bess went to the vets to check her eyes again and the vet was pleased there was no change, then it was knitting and a trip to see mummy’s nannys! Then it was kickboxing in the evening and a good old catch up with everyone there whilst we stayed home with nanny & grandad. Then on Wednesday we went to see nanny and decided to try out Harley & Belle’s new beds for them. Bess fitted in Belle’s
Harley’s was too big for jimmy
I tried Harley’s too but it was too big for me!
Then we went back and had fish and chips with nanny and grandad, or more importantly, Daisy!
Thursday was a sad day as we were heading off. We’d picked up Wilma and were heading back to North Uist. We said goodbye to Maggie and the Chicklings
Molly and Daisy got in grandads car as they thought we were all going together!
After lots of cuddles and tears we were on the road. It was a very long drive, towing Wilma and we didn’t get to Uig until 01:30 and then we all slept in the car.
We were on the morning ferry back to Lochmaddy and were back on the land before lunch!
We dropped Wilma off and then headed back to Moorcroft
Scratchy was very pleased to see mummy. Don’t think he missed the rest of us though!
On Saturday, after packing up and lots of talking with Iain & Catriona we headed back home. What a busy week. We are going home for a rest! Until next time, Love & Licks, Rosie xxx
