So our lovely trip to Bath, we were on the road to Ilfracombe and the beach! We had a few issues when we got to site, as we hadn’t told them how “different” we are, but they all got sorted and we managed to pitch, and once mummy calmed down it was actually quite a nice site (http://www.hiddenvalleypark.com). We were quite tired after the journey and this was Scratchy attempting to give me a cuddle. Good job I was asleep, or I’d have given him a piece of my mind!
After all the travelling yesterday, we had a family trip to the beach….wahoo!! Jim was ever so excited
Then he started to chase me!
The sunset was pretty good too
This is another shot of it. Woolacombe beach is amazing!
On Wednesday we had a rest due to the weather, but Thursday was another beach day, this time we went to Saunton Sands and we loved it.
After daddy let us off the lead we went mad and ran around lots
We tried our best not to look too tired as we didn’t want the walk to end.
Then we heard some strange noises and these big tanks things came onto the beach, along the sea, and then disappeared into the dunes. They were wicked!
When we got home, I was very tired so I decided I deserved to have a chair, complete with foot rest!
Friday was nanny’s birthday, but we were away so we sang to her on the phone. Then we thought we’d go back to Saunton Sands again and had a lovely run around and also try and see the tanks again, but we didn’t!
When we got back Scratchy was cross that we were going out having so much fun without him so decided to help mummy work, by getting in the way!
Jim was so tired he needed the help of his teddy to try and eat his dinner!
By the evening Scratchy had forgiven mummy and was after lots of fussing
On Saturday, Nanny, Harley & Belle came to visit us and we took them to Woolacombe Beach. It was a lot busier than in the week, but we still managed to play loads. Belle taught us that playing ball on the beach was fun, so we were all very tired after our walk. Luckily, as it was mothers day on Sunday, we took Nanny to the Woolacombe Hotel which has an Atrium in the bar area especially for dogs. We went and had a lovely relax on the heated floor with fresh water and some black pudding that had been left over from breakfast. Mummy, daddy and nanny had a nice lunch too! This is Jim zonked out on the blanket we were supposed to be sharing
as you can see I had no blanket at all, but I was closer to the kitchen!
Belle found an area without underfloor heating as she was too hot from playing ball and paddling in the sea
Harley had a nice blanket to lay on
When we got home we watched the new James Bond movie Spectre which wasn’t that great, but it was ok, then we went to bed as we were so tired
Sunday was mothers day so we treated mummy to a really long walk from Croyde Bay, round Baggy Point, out to Woolacombe Beach to play ball and then all the way back again! This is the view of Woolacombe Beach
and us playing ball, which is obviously more important!
Then we went home to another telling off from Scratchy
Jim decided to have a lie in on Monday, on daddy’s pillow….naughty Jimmy!
and scratchy enjoyed us spending time with him by sleeping!
Then we went back to Woolacombe Beach to play ball
To be honest, we had really gone to get fish and chips, but all the takeaways were closed as it was Monday, so we went home for Pizza instead! Then Tuesday was move day. We were very sad to be leaving the beaches, but excited to see where we were going next. Until next time, Love & Licks, Rosie xxxx
