We decided to go straight into town to see Andy, Kate and baby Matthew. We were allowed in to see them too which was great fun. On the way back, we passed a pub that Andy had suggested we meet at for lunch tomorrow, so we decided to try it out on the way back. One turned into two, which turned into three and burger night! Oops! We had a lazy morning after our extravagant evening and I opted to stay in bed. Before heading out to the pub for lunch, via a nice walk in the local parks. Bath has a lots of parks for a city, I’m impressed! Lunch was very nice and we were very well behaved, as was Matthew.
Friday called for five o’clock beers with Andy, via another nice walk, followed by dinner at Andy and Kate’s. This was really good, although Jim got caught on the sofa, so mummy shouted at him. Didn’t stop me trying to get up though
On Saturday Andy was heading back to work after his paternity leave, but popped in on a run to say goodbye. We like having visitors and daddy likes showing them around the van so they can see all the work we have done. Then we went on a lovely walk along the River Avon, and saw a couple of herons
There was a huge rowing race going on which was really exciting and very busy. We stayed out of everyone’s way. They didn’t seem to be going very fast though at times!
There was a pub by the river, so it would be rude not to sample the local brew
it was a bit cold outside watching the race though, so we soon moved inside
I managed to sneak up too which was a bonus
Poor Jim didn’t get in on the game haha!
Then we went home for some pizzas…yummy
On Sunday we decided to try out the Cotswold Way and it was beautiful. The weather was lovely and the scenery was amazing. These were some really friendly sheep we came across
and this is the view from one of the view points near the start. Behind you is the Landsdown horse racing course
I was getting bored of mummy taking photos, although Jim seemed to be having fun
When we got home Scratchy wanted some attention as we had been out a lot lately, bless him
We were really sad to leave Bath as it was a lovely place and it was such fun seeing Andy, Kate & Matthew. We will go back soon, but next time we will go to a different campsite. Until next time, love & licks Rosie xxxx
