So having left the house, we headed back to one of our friends campsites, near nanny and grandads, and Scratchy seemed right at home back in Pebbles
I decided I was very comfortable in bed! Meanwhile Bess went to the vets about her eyes as it had become apparent that her eyesight might not be the best, and it wasn’t. She got referred to a specialist!
So Bess went to see the specialist who confirmed she had some slight defects in her left eye, which could explain some of her behaviours, but not all of them! Then we went home and daddy did some chores with the help of Cleo
The alpacas seemed quite interested too
Then horror of horrors, I had to go to the vets as I keep limping towards the end of the weekly run and mummy can’t see anything wrong with me. So Uncle Joe said to try metacam before a run, but mummy is concluding that I might just be lazy and attention seeking so that I get carried back! Would I?
So I decided to take it easy and help grandad build nannys new shed
Daisy seemed very tired supervising the shed build
After the weekly run, we went to a Parkinson’s awareness event where grandad had taken his tractor and his “boyband” were playing
We also went for a lovely long walk all round Cadsden, and it was very hot, and it’s only April!
but we did see our first bluebells of the year
On a walk with grandad we found this really cool donkey dog toy, so mummy put it on the fence for the owner to find. Then a few days later she found one in a shop and bought us one cos we really liked it!
On Wednesday, after Scratchy had been to see Uncle Joe for his jabs and old age blood tests (which he passed with flying colours!), we went for a walk in Oxford with Claire and Bella, which was lots of fun
Mummy thought Bess looked like bat dog on the way home from the pub one night, but that could have been the cider. We had been to the pub a lot having farewell meals with people as we are heading off again soon
Just look at Molly…..Grandad has the ball….Daisy gets it….what is wrong with Molly?!!
Scratchy was still being lazy and had found a new sleeping place
Meanwhile, Simon had got some more alpacas which were really fluffy
So after lots of goodbyes and hugs and tears, we had one last play in the field and then hitched up to start our new big adventure…….until next time, Love and licks Rosie xxxx
