Back Home for Christmas
So we were back home for Christmas and mummy had played Driving Home for Christmas all the way down, even though it’s still 2 weeks till Christmas! We were staying at our favourite campsite (http://www.bellavistacamping.co.uk/home/), and the alpacas seemed pleased to see us. Mummy was starting to panic about getting all the Christmas presents made in time for Christmas though. So Scratchy decided to help make nanny’s snowflake shawl.
Meanwhile daddy made some scrummy Gluten Free, Dairy Free and vegetarian pies and homemade baked beans for dinner. Yumbles!
Nothing exciting happened on Tuesday, even kickboxing was cancelled as the instructor, Mark, was ill. Bess did try to share Jim’s bed though and he wasn’t happy about it!
On Wednesday we went for a walk with Grandad, Molly & Daisy. Here is Molly trying desperately to make friends with the fish. At least no one fell in today!
It was a lovely 6.5 mile walk, but we didn’t stop at the pub today as mummy wasn’t sure about taking Bess in!
Nanny hadn’t been feeling well, so when we got home Bess gave her lots of cuddles and kisses
When we got back home to daddy, mummy was able to stuff the teddy she had made for Nanny as our other nanny had been over to visit daddy and brought some of our spare sheep wool insulation. Mummy was very proud of her first teddy creation
Mummy also finished off the snowflake shawl and cheekily used it as a Christmas decoration!
Even daddy got involved with felting the penguin Christmas decorations
On Thursday we went for a walk up Watlington Hill when I eventually got out of bed!
When we got home Bess tried to help daddy with his work
and mummy started on making Auntie Debi some gloves
Friday was spent sorting things out for Christmas and then on Saturday we went running and mummy got a bad blister! Then mummy and daddy went out for curry with the kickboxing group whilst we had fun at nanny and grandads!
On Sunday we went for a walk to Ashridge but it was absolutely packed and there were evil drones being flown by kids that were so small you could hardly see them, but I heard them alright. So we decided to leave quite quickly and headed to Nanny Carol’s. When we got back we put some more Christmas decorations up
and I had a cuddle whilst mummy watched catchup tv
well that was until Scratchy wanted a cuddle
On Monday we went to see our lovely friend Tony, but he had fallen out of bed, so we stayed to look after him and mummy even cooked him dinner, then we went out for dinner with Roxi & Ricky. Tuesday involved mummy going to her Nanny’s Christmas party with the family where they danced and sang and then we went kickboxing, and on Wednesday mummy and daddy went round to Mummy’s brother Marc’s, for pizza, but we stayed with grandad again! Thursday was a beautiful morning and then in the evening mummy & daddy went to see Andy & Kate for dinner and we went to see grandad again. Could get used to this as I love carpets and sofas!!
Not sure what came over me on Friday, I think I must’ve been spending too much time with Molly and Daisy, but I let Daisy share her bed with me! Not sure who was more unimpressed!
Saturday was Christmas eve and a beautiful morning. We went for a run and then visited nanny to help her set her new tv up, and nanny and grandad for a pre Christmas, Christmas dinner….scrummy
How exciting…the big day is finally here! We did our usual walk up to Coombe hill where daddy proposed to mummy 17 years ago! Do you know they have now been together 20 years!
Then daddy made some lovely canapes for us and nanny. Daddy wasn’t very happy with the veggie roast he did though, so no photos of that, I’m afraid!
Bess decided to give mummy a Christmas cuddle.
On boxing day we all headed round nanny and grandads with nanny, Harley and Belle and had the traditional cold meat and bubble and squeak followed by a walk and lots of presents! All of mummy’s handmade presents seemed to go down really well! Tuesday was a very busy day as we had to pop to Nanny’s about her TV again, so we played in the garden, then we went to see Auntie Debi and came back via nanny and grandads for some tea.
We woke up to a thick frost on Wednesday which was beautiful but not helpful as we were moving off today and the taps were frozen.
We eventually headed off about midday and headed south for some beaches. Until next time, Love and Licks, Rosie xxxx
