Banbury – kind of back home!
We were up early this morning so mummy & daddy could go their nephew’s 18th birthday dinner. We got to see the sunrise, which was nice, before heading to Banbury (https://www.firtreefalconry.co.uk), as this was the nearest site with hardstanding, that was open.
Mummy and daddy seemed to like the party, but it was a long drive there and back.
On Tuesday we were up early again to see the sunrise over the fishing lake. We should’ve had a lie in after the long day travelling and late night, but seems mummy had other ideas! So she dragged us all out for a walk to enjoy the view.
Now Wednesday…. Mummy said we were going on an adventure, but I didn’t really understand. Adventures are scary, really scary. Daddy dropped us off and we went into what turned out to be a train station. These big huge trains were really scary. Everytime one came near the platform mummy gave us lots of treats to distract us. I think it was working. Eventually we got on one of these things…that was even scarier. We huddled down low to the floor as we didn’t like it moving. We were really frightened. Turns out mummy had sat us in the quiet zone too so she had to very quietly console us and we had to stay silent.
When we eventually got off the scary train, grandad was there to pick us up and took us back to his house. Molly and Daisy were very pleased to see us!
I was exhausted so made myself at home on the sofa
Meanwhile, Daisy was helping mummy with her work
Daddy eventually turned up in the evening and took us all on the long journey back home again. When we got up on Thursday mummy mentioned more adventures….please no more! Turns out we were taking the train to nanny’s again. It wasn’t as bad today as we knew what to expect and mummy had lots of treats again but we were still really scared. A lovely couple got on a Bicester and sat with us which was nice. They gave us lots of fuss but we were too scared to lap it up. Daddy picked us up again and took us to kickboxing, well to help Mark out with some routines anyway. On Friday daddy’s meeting was cancelled so we were a little disappointed we weren’t getting the train to nanny’s again, but glad to stay home, although there are lots of gun shots around here so that scared us even more! On Saturday, daddy said it was too far to go and run with our Saturday runners, so mummy found a route from the campsite. Unfortunately mummy found a rather long route and managed to break daddy. He ended up having to walk a lot of the last part and in the end we ran home to get the car and went back to pick him up as he could hardly walk. Something about his IT band playing up or something. We were very tired after the run
On Sunday we couldn’t do much as daddy was too broken so we stayed in and did chores. Then on Monday it was back to the grindstone. There were lots of gun shots around today and turns out it was the last day of the shooting season, so lots of charity events going on so we were very scared. So on Tuesday we went to nanny’s whilst daddy went to yet another meeting and then mummy and daddy went kickboxing. On Wednesday we saw another lovely sunrise and there were no gun shots so we were very happy
Thursday was a different story as the shooting was back. That’s when mummy realised there was a clay pigeon shooting club just down the road. NOT IMPRESSED!! We sepnt the whole day shaking, so eventually we went to nannys and got fish and chips. Then mummy and daddy went to help Mark with his routines again, ready for some big ftraining day on Sunday. Friday was another day of gun shots and work and then on Saturday we went to visit Tony who had been taken into hospital. We tried to go for a walk at burnham beaches afterwards but it was closed due to the high winds, so we went to visit nanny, Harley and belle instead. Sunday was the big black belt training session, so we all went to marlow so mummy and daddy could go training. We went for a quick walk before and after and then mummy and daddy went to the pub with everyone for lunch. Once they had finished enjoying themselves, we all went to see nanny and grandad to drop all the washing in before heading off tomorrow. We are going back to Wales tomorrow, so looking forward to some more beaches! Until next time, love and licks, Rosie xxxx
