Wow what an adventure! We made it to Mallaig to catch the ferry and yes that is a seagull sitting on the fox wing!
and we were off! Pebbles didn’t ground getting on the ferry…wahoo!
Scratchy came up on deck with us in his carry case, but not sure he was that impressed!
and Jim seemed ok too, although he did pee on the deck….naughty Jimbob
Pebbles looked good on the car deck
On Sunday mummy and daddy decided to treat themselves to lunch at The Three Chimneys. Mummy was so impressed as she happened to mention her dietary requirements when she booked and she was given her own special menu, all typed up with lots of options of what she could have, and some gluten free bread too
Mummy and daddy both had an amazing scotch egg for starters which really impressed mummy, being gluten and dairy free but looked the same as daddy’s version.
After lunch we went for a drive to find a beach and on the way we found a dog running scared down the road. To start with he was very scared but then he came over to mummy and let her put a lead on him. There was no one around and the road was really busy so mummy and daddy tried to call the numbers on his collar but signal was rubbish and when it did work no one was at home. Presumably they were out looking for him. We went back the way he came from and found a forest walk but there was no one there. In the end mummy managed to google the phone number and found a postcode so we took him there. The owner of a B&B thought they recognised him from one of the house so we took him there and he seemed happy to be there but there was no one home. It was definitely his home as when we rang the number on the collar we could hear the phone ringing in the house. We were just debating what to do when his mummy turned up and wondered why we were there with her dog. She had been on a course and had no idea he was missing. She didn’t seem that worried and apparently he had done it a few times. His daddy had probably gone to the co-op whilst he had run off and was going to go back and look for him later. Mummy didn’t like this attitude and didn’t want to leave him there but Boswell seemed happy to be at home so we left him there. Think mummy and daddy had fallen for him a bit, but there really isn’t enough room on the bed for another dog. I keep trying to tell them that by taking up as much room as possible on the bed!
After rescuing Boswell, we carried on our journey to find the beach, but got held up by some sheep. We were getting very fed up now as we had been in the car for a long time. When we finally got to the beach it was pretty rubbish and raining so we had a short walk and then headed back home
Daddy spent the next couple of days working as on Wednesday we are heading to the Airstream meet and daddy didn’t want to have to work there. We did see a nice rainbow on Tuesday though.
So Wednesday was ferry day and an early ferry it was too. I didn’t want to get up! It was a very exciting day though as we were meeting up with all the other airstreamers and their dogs! Will we manage to follow Andrew’s instructions for leaving the ferry and meeting up with them? We are aiming to arrive at the campsite in convey with some early birds taking photos of us on route. Fingers crossed we don’t mess everything up! Until next time, love & licks Rosie xxxxx
