Lewis - with Nanny
It was quite late by the time we reached the campsite (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=6495) and it was a free for all pitching, and all the good pitches had gone. We eventually found a spot and just about managed to get Pebbles level, whilst the man opposite us laughed and said he could pitch a tent quicker! Then we went for a walk on the beach, and it was all worth it. We were camped right by this beach
Now, Wednesday was mummy’s birthday, and daddy had specifically worked all weekend to have the day off, but oh no, his customers had other ideas. So we took mummy for a walk on the beach to cheer her up.
It is a lovely beach and we think we cheered her up but daddy worked all day and it was her worst birthday ever!
On Thursday mummy drove to Stornoway, whilst we stayed home with daddy working. Mummy was off to run some errands and collect nanny, Harley and Belle from the ferry. Whilst she was there, she spotted an otter in the river, but didn’t have her big camera. Another fail!
Once nanny had got off the ferry, they drove the hour back in convoy and nanny got a lovely level pitch at the campsite! Then we all went for a walk on the beach to show nanny her first Hebridean beach and she loved it!
On Friday mummy and daddy went to meet some friends of Andrew & Dougal’s, Cathy & Kevin and their four Belgium Shepherds. We stayed in the car as they were a lot bigger than us. Cathy and Kevin were lovely and daddy had lots of cake! On Saturday, we all went for a walk around the little peninsula and found another beach called Cliff beach. It was very nice but smaller than Reef beach, where we were staying
There was also a surf lesson going on and they were all sitting in a circle on the beach, so Belle decided to go and join in. The view down to the beach was lovely and you can see why they were surfing there.
Then we went back to our beach and the view down to it from or walk was lovely
Here are Harley and Belle playing on Reef beach
On Sunday we were packing up and heading off, but there was a slight issue, the electric jack slipped off the wooden block and wouldn’t go down to hitch up, so daddy hit the block with a big hammer and all was good again! So we were off….I hope the next campsite has a nice beach like this! Until next time, love & licks, Rosie xxxxx
