Back home for two weeks
What a whirlwind! We got back to Moreton (www.thedairycampsite.com), unhitched and immediately went racing off to the shops. We had a lovely surprise when Auntie Debi jumped out on us in the pets at home car park. Was so lovely to see her. Then we were whizzing off again to see nanny & granddad. Jim was pleased to see Daisy again so we stayed and had fish and chips….yum, yum!
The next morning, we were all up very early as mummy had a very important job to do. They were off to church so mummy could be Godmummy to Lilymae. We weren’t allowed to go to church as we have 4 legs, so we stayed with nanny & granddad. I understand mummy did a grand job and there were some lovely cakes!
When mummy and daddy got back from Lilymae’s christening we went for a lovely long walk at one of our favourite places, Cadsden. The leaves were turning so mummy took lots of photos which was quite boring for us as we had to stand around a lot and daddy got shouted at when we got in the way!
We thought this was a good game to play! Daddy didn’t think so though!
The footpaths were quite pretty
and there was a lovely sunset
We also came across some cows roaming on the hills
and one that was playing hide and seek
On Monday the Expofender had to go into TopCats for some work and a new clutch (daddy’s bad driving, apparently!) so mummy got a hire car. It was very cute but couldn’t go up hills! Mummy was scared of damaging it so we only used it to go kickboxing. So we walked around the golf club and Thame a lot instead
By Wednesday Jim had a bad eye so mummy booked a vets appointment for Thursday morning. It was so bad when we woke up that we all went out for a nice run to try and distract Jim from rubbing his eye anymore. Uncle Ed put some anaesthetic drops in it to relieve it and then he gave us some antibiotics to put in his eye for a week. It seemed much better after that. On Friday we had a visit from Nanny Carol and Sue, it was so nice to see Nanny. She helped out a lot on the restoration of Pebbles, so she came to see how it was all going! Then, after we had swapped the cars back, we went round Nanny and Grandad’s for dinner again and Nanny Trouble was there too!
On Saturday we went for a run with the running club at Cadsden so we got to see more of the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon we went for a long walk to Thame to a big craft fair where mummy and daddy spent a lot of money on not a lot of stuff! Daddy kept sampling stuff but we didn’t get any, which isn’t very fair!
On Sunday it was another early start and we went to Nanny & Grandads again as Mummy and Daddy were on the Kickboxing Grading Panel (hopefully they all passed…mummy can be mean on marks!) and then they went to see Tony and then Grandad’s mummy. We stayed in the warm and got spoilt and Jim got to play lots with Daisy.
The second week we were back was a lot busier, mummy and daddy had customer meetings, kickboxing, out for dinner and shopping and we all had to go to the vets for our check ups. I was not happy about this arrangement so Uncle Joe put a muzzle on me. I really don’t like the vets but I do like Uncle Joe and his biscuits! Here is a picture of the chinchilla’s that are at one of Daddy's customers. They are quite cute. They have several names, some unrepeatable, this one is Bonnie/Danger Mouse/Big Mumma/The White One..…the list goes on
And this one is Clyde/Roland Rat/Daddy/The Grey One…etc. They are supposed to be a breeding pair but that hasn’t materialised in the year they’ve had them!
On Friday Nanny came over to see us which was nice, she’s coming away with us next week with Harley & Belle, we are looking forward to that. Then we had to empty the tanks and move Pebbles to the car park as Peter was worried we would get stuck getting off the pitch and he was going away. Scratchy came out to help with that too. Mummy put him on his harness and then cuddled him under her jumper. He loved it! Then we went over to see the lovely H who we haven’t seen for a long time. Mummy & daddy really enjoyed catching up with him. Then after more running around we went back to Nanny & Grandads for Fish & Chips again! It really was a whirlwind of 2 weeks and we didn’t get to see half as many people as we’d hoped, so hopefully we will see them next time….But now it’s time to move on! Until next time, Love & Licks Rosie xxxx (I’m shattered!)
