Cheltenham - Quick Stop
We needed to move Pebbles to get some fresh water and as the campsite was a bit grot in the facilities we decided to move on. We had quite a long drive to get to a lovely site in the Cotswolds that was highly recommended by some other fultimers that daddy stalks via their blog (http://www.briarfields.net/home).
When we were nearly there we passed some new services on the M5 that had a farm shop. It was decided not to stop as there was bound to be a farm shop near the campsite. We needed one as we had run out of bacon for breakfast! You can guess what happens, can’t you?! Campsite owner says yes other farm shops, but the best by far is the one by the services. So off we went back down the M5 so mummy and daddy could spend a fortune at the farm shop. Mummy got some nice cider but it was a bit strong and daddy got a keg of beer, so they got a bit silly in the evening. Daddy did however manage to make some more of the cauliflower cheese things mummy likes!
Well Sunday was valentines day but mummy and daddy weren’t feeling too bright, so had a lie in, followed by the lovely bacon and then we all went for a walk up to Cleeve Hill and came across the Galloway cows
It was a lovely day but very cold. This is the lovely tree at the top of the hill
Then we went home for some roast beef, more cider/beer and scratchy watched the Good Life with us….I think this episode was quite appropriate for Scratchy Monster!
On Monday we managed to squeeze another walk in, to Cleeve Hill as it wasn’t far from where we were staying. It was later in the day and the sun was just going down. It was a lovely way to end our short stay near Cheltenham.
So today, we are heading back to Radnage, luckily it’s not too far as everyone is talking to mummy and daddy and slowing the packing up process down considerably! Looking forward to seeing everyone when we are back. Until next time, Love & Licks, Rosie xxxx
