So, we are back in Radnage (http://www.bellavistacamping.co.uk/home/), for what will be a busy three weeks doing lots of chores. Scratchy decides to take it in his stride! Little does he know he has a big day coming up!
After a few days of sorting things out Bess decided she wanted mummy to wake up as she wanted to do something fun
However, she soon got the hint and went back to sleep, and didn’t even harass Scratchy for a change!
Thursday saw snow, well it is mid-January! We went out to play and Bess loved her first snow experience, but I, on the other hand, got very cold, very quickly, so we didn’t play for long
Friday was a beautiful morning after the snow so we went for a walk with Grandad
After I had got out of bed, you understand!
Then we came home for some warming homemade beans on toast
Bess was most upset when we got back from running on Saturday as Scratchy was on her bed. So she went on my bed…..hmpf!!
Then we went to help Nanny clear her garage out. As you can see Harley decided to take it easy and supervise!
And then Bess and I got caught snoozing on the job….oops!
On Sunday Jim decided he wanted a lie in
And then we went round Nanny’s again to carry on clearing the garage. Look how good we all are. Unfortunately, Belle doesn’t play with us very well, so she wasn’t allowed in the group pic
On Monday Scratchy decided he wanted lots of cuddles and helped mummy with her crochet
Tuesday and Wednesday were not good days, as mummy and daddy spent some more time visiting their poorly friend Tony, who sadly died.
Bess on the other hand was just confused about where my bed was, so laid on the hardboard! (we have underfloor heating so our beds have to be raised up, but then Jim lies straight on the floor and wonders why he gets so hot….dumbdog!)
After another lie in on Thursday we played ball in the field. That silly Bess though, decided to jump for my ball!! How dare she! Anyway, we crashed quite badly and there was a lot of squealing going on. I wasn’t too bad but Bess got a nose bleed that wouldn’t stop so off she went to the vets to check she hadn’t done any serious damage, which she hadn’t.
It was another beautiful start to the day and it was grandad’s birthday!
So we all went for a lovely walk and met nanny at the pub for a nice lunch
On the way back from the pub we went through a really muddy field and my feet got caked in mud and I could hardly walk with the weight of the mud
When we got home we were so tired that Jim and Daisy slept on the kitchen floor
On Saturday, it was a lovely morning for our weekly running group
and then we went round nanny’s to help her sort the loft out before having dominoes for dinner! Yes a gluten, dairy and meat free pizza for mummy….yumbles. Although they seem to have put the hot sauce on it as mummy was sweating trying to eat it!
Sunday was back round Nanny’s to clear more stuff and then on Monday it was a beautiful morning (again) to take Scratchy to the vet for his big operation. Removing a lump from his leg. Not that major but he is pushing 17!
Whilst Scratchy was at the vets we went for a walk with Grandad and wore Molly out!
Scratchy wasn’t very impressed when he got home. He had already pulled his bandage off whilst the nurse was talking to mummy and the second bandage didn’t last long, even with the buster collar, as he pulled it off with his other foot!
He was much happier when the bandage and collar came off
and even happier when snuggled in the blanket mummy is still working on….will she ever finish it?
On Tuesday we went round nanny & grandads and molly and I proved furniture is for dogs too! Although molly is sitting on grandads lap!
The youngsters decided to play in the lounge
whilst us old girls curled up on the sofa
On Wednesday mummy went round to see her nephew Thomas for his 19th birthday and on Thursday mummy got to try the first egg from nanny’s duck, Dolly. It’s the little one in the middle on the left and was yumbles apparently!
Then we went for a very cold walk at Cadsden and came across some very nasty dogs which mummy and daddy wouldn’t let us put in their places, even though they were running free from their house and were out of control. To be honest it was quite scary, so I’m glad I didn’t have to see them off! When we got back Scratchy wanted more cuddles! He’s really laying this recovery on thick!
On Friday we went round nanny and grandads for fish and chips and then on Saturday we went for a run at Cadsden, which was very cold so I got a limp on so we could head back early! When we got back we packed up and headed off to somewhere very familiar. Somewhere I never thought we would go again….tune in next time to find out where our adventure takes us. Until next time, love & licks, Rosie xxxxx
