Welcome to the Doggies on Tour blog. We are two rescue dogs called Rosie & Jim who, until recently, enjoyed the suburban life, living in a nice house with mum and dad, a nice garden, some lovely neighbours and a great park to play ball in. There was also an annoying cat called Scratchy but he kept out of our way, mainly cos Jim chased him! There used to be another cat too called Itchy, now he was cool, but sadly he got very ill and we had to say goodbye recently. We miss Itchy Cat…….
So, as I was saying, until recently we lived a pretty normal life. Mummy went out to work, daddy stayed home to work, so we had company. Although he wasn’t much fun sat in front of his computer all day, every day. Mummy would get home late, we’d go for a quick walk, then dinner and bed. This repeated every day until the weekend, then we had fun and went running and had nice walks……That was until a few months ago.
It started about a year ago when this nice big shiny caravan arrived. So we started camping in this shiny thing called an Airstream. It was luxury compared to car and tent camping, there was a bed and everything. We went away in it a few times which was great, and then a few months ago, for some unknown reason, mum and dad starting ripping the insides out of it. Really don’t understand why, yes it was a bit old, but it was lovely!
So, for the next few months every spare minute of the day was spent trying to put the insides back in again. Why they took them out I have no idea! Everything was a mess, there was stuff all over the house and walks were getting limited. This went on for quite a while and the house started to empty out as the Airstream was getting finished. Then one day we all set off with the Airstream in tow, and left the house behind, empty. We aren’t sure what happened to the house, but there had been lots of people coming to the property, particularly a lovely young family with three children. We liked them a lot and we think they liked us too!
So we went camping and for a while mummy still went out to work but this only lasted a few days. We went to the local campsite that we all liked which was nice as nanny and nanny & granddad came to visit us. It’s such a lovely site and we can still go to our favourite parks when we are there. This is the life!
