In 2018 Ľuboš Kotlár finished his master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Department of Photography and New Media. In 2014, he was on internship at Aalto University in Helsinki, having studied Visual Culture and Contemporary Art. In 2017 he was on internship at Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, having studied Photography. He has presented his works at several group and solo exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad. Since 2012, he has worked as co-founder and active member of the dsk. artistic group. In 2016 he was awarded one of the main prizes ‘Young talent of the year’ at Slovak Press Photo for his series What we talk about when we talk
