On my way to work this morning, I kept hearing some lumbering pickup truck with a rumbling V8 and loud exhaust at every red light. Then I discovered it was actually an old, beat Nissan S13 (240SX).
My opinion of the sound completely changed. Now it meant something different. Instead of being just another truck, it was a gearhead's dream; a big V8 where the factory had once installed a simple 4-cylinder - something few will ever attempt, let alone achieve.
The Nexus was clamped into its holder on the windshield, streaming Steve Miller Band, but I managed to fire off a couple snaps anyway. They're all potato quality, but the off-focus and golden sunrise just seems fitting for a moment of personal reflection and change.
Thought I'd share.
