Self-employed as a free-lance illustrator since 1997, Roel has developed himself as an all-round illustrator who can choose from a wide array of styles and techniques.
His specialities are cartoons, comic-strips, children's/schoolbooks and character design,
when possible with a humorous and witty twist.
He also works as a live-cartoonist under the name "Drawsome with Dr. Awesome",
has worked as a theatre set-designer, and has taught illustration at Art an Design College Utrecht.
