I work as a conference interpreter into both official languages, French and English. I am the father of one, a girl now 26 years old who has her own life and a carreer in banking.
I went to McGill U in Montreal in the 1980s where I studied anthropology with john Galaty, dan Aronson and Keith Hart (an eternal visiting professor from the UK). Did some fieldwork in Turkana District, Kenya. Then became active in the anti-apartheid movement until... the end of apartheid.
I was in Burkina Faso when Thomas Sankara overthrew the existing gov there; never forgave Blaise Comparoe for killing Thomas. Now Blaise has been given the booth by the Burkinabe people. Spent t
