No wind... no smell...
These wind-turbines were errected about 18 months ago close to the main road between my nearest town and Chatellerault, a small city half an hour away by car. I got a lift there this morning - just for the trip as I was in no hurry - and as we sped past the giant towers arranged in a gentle curve I shot a series of exposures with a medium-tele. I should add that my friend was driving at the 90 kph speed limit, and in traffic, so he couldn't slow down for me to compose and click!
Nevertheless... from a rapid sequence of about a dozen shots I got two usable ones with a reasonable alignment of the columns and blades. Mind you, the real problem was the driver's nose. I was shooting across his face and through the car's side window which was closed. He was calling out "OK? OK?" and I was calling out "Votre nez! Votre nez!" - to which he was asking what was wrong with his nose! Although I'm English/Polish and my friend is Spanish/Algerian the repartee was in broken French... but I cracked up when he muttered, "Bof... c'est juste un morceau de Camembert!" Apparently there's a French expression for a prominent nose... it's likened to a wedge of that smelly cheese!
