2+ Months ago i stopped making a games i was developing! I did this because i want to take a break! I wanted to study some things i really want to know how it works, like quadtrees (technical graphics stuff)!
I started to draw everyday too! I didn’t start this like “i MUST draw everyday”, i just wanted to practice and have fun. And i didn’t made a draw every day, i just drew a lot!
I start to make gifs! DANG! Years ago i wanted so much make gifs, but i can’t use something like blander and i was kinda afraid to draw A LOT of frames, you can tell by the gif i made when i started, only 2 frames! I started to dig GIMP features and it’s GREAT, now i can do a lot of crazy stuff with those filters, even if i need to make frame by frame!
What i want to say is that i learn A LOT in the last 2 months, and this change a lot of things i was making back then! All the concepts, and code, and art i made for that game i was making goes away because of my new knowledge! That’s really good actually, feels better now!
I’m back to the development of jumping ‘n jumping (i need a new name, please). I’ll get that done or throw way and start another one!
If you don’t know, Jumping ‘n Jumping is a game i made in 48h for Ludum Dare 31 Game Jam and i keep developing! You can play the jam version here, but bear in mind that this game was made in 2 days and the movements are the worst because of that! Today’s version is away better!
Here’s the last gif i have recorded of the current version:
