, (3) artist statement
I am a daughter of four so I’ve been raised by many powerful women that ahve guided me throughout the years . The women in my life all have taught me values and how to love myself spiritually, mentally, and physically. In my art work I try to show a memory of the past that connects to the people around me. Threw art I’m able to allow all people to discover a deeper truth about themselves as thy gaze within the lines of a canvas. After going through many downfalls I turned myself to god and since then I see myself as so much more. Art amplifies everything about women because we are so much more than what is said and portrayed on social media every day. We are art, we are heard, and we are simply phenomenal. I try to develop my own style in each piece by relating back to friendships, moments i hoped will last forever, and overall the beauty of life around us. I alway try to put a hidden message in everything I make about important things we should pay more attention to. my overall goal is to have the audience go through an aesthetic experience, also known as aesthetic arrest, a state of mind were emotions, reactions, and feeling are more enhanced by capturing the beauty of something simple or complexed.
