My work is ‘ordered chaos’ acting outside the process of multiples, where each print is individual and cannot be duplicated. While the plates I create are a set image, the found materials added and application of inks is not. This action is deliberate in order to make the image uncontrolled and individual. The intention is that each print becomes its own set moment in time, a certain feeling or day that is unable be mimicked or reproduced. Found materials such as cheesecloth, twine, plastic and sculptural mesh act as movement within the piece, with the plate as a stable background underneath the layers. Each image is a moment of unrest. The abstract imagery is intended to be raw and visceral, like a Rorschach test for the audience to examine their own emotions reflected within.
