Chapter 3: Take a Break
Yes, you want to accomplish your goal and yes, you want to finish your book.
However, creative breaks are just as important as the creation process itself. And once you stress out about not being fast enough or generally not doing enough - boom - your creativity goes out the window... and it's probably taking your flow and energy with it.
However, at one point or another, we all reach this point and our stress levels are not always the same. Sometimes just a little bit of work exhausts you, whereas other times you can go all night without food or sleep and don't even realize you're "working".
So here's my advice: Just listen to your body! It knows what's best for you and what you need when! Especially when your thoughts are spinning and you can't get out of your head, take a break, breathe and get still. This is when the next step will find you instead of you finding it.
Having said this, I am taking a break now, as the migraine in my head - which I haven't had in months - is sending me a clear signal to get out of my head and breath my way back into the flow.... So I'll have some of the yummy pumpkin soup I made earlier, turn off all my electronic devices, light a candle, meditate or do yoga and call it an early night.
See you refreshed tomorrow!
