OK, I have a story that I will share here, since this is a nice small group. Years ago I had a CPA I used for both my personal taxes and the first couple of years of BlogHer's taxes. I had been referred to him by one of my co-founders who also used him. The first year I filed joint taxes after getting married I provided all the paperwork, the worksheets, etc. And yet when he returned our tax forms that year he put my husband's name as Taxpayer and me as Spouse. I checked and there is no legal requirement to list the man as Taxpayer, woman as Spouse. I never used that CPA again. Just me? Ladies?
Flash forward seven years, and we are buying a new house. I am the one who contacted the mortgage broker, spoke to him, and has done 95% of the interaction and exchanging of paperwork, etc. He only got one email from my husband with some account statements. But just now he called my husband's cell phone and then our home phone. We didn't answer because we didn't recognize the number and didn't know it was him until he left a voicemail with a pretty simple question: Are we still planning to put 20% down?
As of this moment he still has not called MY cell phone, despite having the number.
Hubs suggests I call him back saying I don't have a penis, but I DO have the answer to his question.
I'm annoyed. Again, ladies, would this bug you?
