This week, we released our iPhone X app, interviewed Sir Neave about his new book, and we have the selected artist for Design Seeds. We’re also continuing to work on spam, and we need your help. We also have some great Artist Invites for you to participate in and some killer Art Giveaways.
New Page Loaders
We have a sweet new page loader (gradient goodness). Before we had some pages that used infinite scroll and other pages that had pagination. We’ve now combined both experiences so you will see a “Load More” button, but once you scroll to the bottom the next page will load automatically. The only exception is when loading comments, because we have some functionality below comments (mute/flag) and you would never be able to actually reach those buttons if we kept loading comments.
The Ello iOS app is iPhone X ready. If you got the new hotness, enjoy the full screen art (minus the notch…).
Meet Sir Neave
Read our interview with photographer Neave Bozorgi (@sirneave). @sirneave is a flourishing natural light photographer based in Los Angeles. In his artistic process, Bozorgi has evolved from documenting figures to depicting varying qualities of light. With each image captured on film, he attempts to separate from his surroundings and become still and formless—photographing and designing simultaneously. Neave is also in the process of publishing his first coffee table book.

Design Seeds Selected Artists
“With so many incredible entries, I wanted to make the selection process, a creative process. By discovering shared threads within a diversity of Artists, I identified an inspiring color space, and began exploring the warm and cool side of it. I love that ultimately the palettes work well each other, creating an unexpected collaboration of color through the Design Seeds X Ello Artist Invite."
– Jessica Colaluca, Design Seeds Creator

We are working hard on a way to deal with these assholes. If you notice a spammy account or get a following notification from an account that’s clearly fake, please flag ‘em. It will both alert our Customer Service team and help our engineers see the pattern of behavior they’re using to target folks. Seriously, help us out and flag some spam.
Submit your work to be featured in Daylighted digital exhibitions in multiple luxury hotel venues with the opportunity to sell the work and receive 100% of the sale.
