Today's theme has been Shadowrun. I'm a big fan of the computer game, as well as of the Roleplaying game. Shadowrun Returns was one of my favourite games when it was released, and I'm now playing the sequel, Shadowrun: Dragonfall (Director's Cut, so much better than the original release. If you're going to play Dragonfall, please, play the Director's Cut). Some time ago, the third part of the series was released: Shadowrun: Hong Kong, and I'm longing to get to play it! The story and writing in these games are top-notch! Some really dark themes are explored, and it's backed up by a fantastic game-play (if you like XCOM, this is a game for you).
Beside the computer game, I've also worked with the campaign I'm running in the pen-and-paper RPG. It's a great RPG as well, even though the rules can sometimes get a bit heavy. It's more of a simulation than representation sometimes, which make it really cumbersome. But the world is extremely interesting, and you can create som damn interesting adventure in it. Soon I will leave the game-master-cowl to one of the players and get the chance to actually play the game (which is rather uncommon. I usually only get to GM the games I really like). So I created a character, a rock'n'roll dwarf with some real serious problems in his past. I think he will be fun to play. His goal of being the best shadowrunner in the country and the ego that goes with that endeavour sure as hell will make for some interesting scenes.
