A while ago I started working on my third (yes, third) roleplaying game setting (using the same rules as one of my other games). Yesterday I decided I wanted to create a map to see what the world looked like. I started doodling on a post-it note, as you can see below.
It was very simple, just a map over the closest things. Then I thought "Well this doesn't look like complete shit, perhaps I can make a map over some larger areas?" Said and done. On a coffee break at work I did a new version.
That went better than I hoped. I'm quite happy with those coast lines.
I asked around on social medias if I had any friends who works with maps, and I did. So now I have a friend who will make an actual map of this sketch, and I think it will be awesome. My own adventure didn't stop there, though. I found a cool tutorial on youtube on how to make maps, which I followed. And here's the result:
It's pretty much a placeholder until my friend gets his map done, but I'm actually really happy with this one. It was much easier than I thought, and the result actually looks pretty good. And it was really fun to make. I think I just might create a couple of other maps in the future.
