Hands - A visual journey through male violence and female healing
My intent with these illustrations was to show how vulnerable women are left after suffering male violence, how physical abuse leaves a mark the pains as much as it burns, yet is invisible to the eye. I also wanted to emphasize how women that go through this kind of violence should have the aid from other women, how we should support and most importantly, help each other through the healing process. Only then, when we act as a community that helps each of its members, we will recover from the scars of male violence.
