NEURAL GROOVE / Zeitguised
Synthetic constructions of shapes and structures that have a similar level of complexity as natural occurrences, yet follow rules that are man made and artificial, and modeled by and according to human thought processes.
Zeitguised is an award winning studio producing exquisite realities, lingering at the tantalizing intersection where art and design, digital and physical space meet.
ID / LaTurbo Avedon
(three-channel installation view)
A poetic visualization of the creation of personal metadata, for the identification of a digital self – born from code. In “ID” LaTurbo addresses how social media platforms have continued to move toward the creation of authenticators adding real name policies and hungry terms of service to access to personal information.
LaTurbo Avedon is an avatar – digitally-based person who lives and works online by existing solely on social media platforms, various websites and gaming consoles. This mysterious CG character is primarily an artist and a curator working with themes related to the unique experience of having a non-physical identity in the virtual space.
3 ORBS / Gergő Kovács
Kovács creates multimedia works that include both physical objects such as large swathes of printed canvas, and digital art including video loops, 3D illustration and “photobashed” collage art. This approach reflects the themes of Kovács’ work as well, aiming directly at the correlation of our real lives and the ones we lead online.
Gergő Kovács is a digital artist based in Budapest, whose multimedia work covers Internet’s effects on aesthetics, culture and society.

About my approach to curation:
These three examples represent both my interests and the curation format I’d like to use. I myself am a digital artist, so the content I’d like to share is closely related to new media art, internet culture and virtual realities. The aesthetic direction I’ve chosen can be described by such keywords as “post-internet”, “digital artificiality” and “retro-futurism”.
I’d like to create posts on individual artists, as well as separate themes that are either connected visually or conceptually. I’d like to pay special attention to adding accurate source and credit links supplemented by short excerpts of information about the project and the author.
