There is an unprecedented beauty in developing film to me. That moment when you open the developing tank and you see the results of all your efforts. You get clarification - if you nailed a shot. That feeling of wonder finally goes away in pure joy/frustration. You can't just go back. If you failed, you failed. And you had to wait quite some time since you loaded the roll - it brings back memories. No instant gratification. You can't re-think what worked and what didn't. In fact you had to work and spend a lot of time to even get it developed. Experiences you can't have shooting digital.
