We are wired. We are wired to use nature to maintain health. Everything that would sicken us, in nature has a counterpart, has a cure. Everything that we currently suffer from, is a byproduct of not listening to our body, to nature, about what is actual going on in our systems.
As a resident of Canada, I am truly excited to see what effect Legal Marijuana has on the general public. As we have universal health care (I pay for thru my federal tax), we have become accustom to using chemistry to treat problems. So, quite like single payer in America, we have been offered a closed loop process of dealing with illness. We do this by pill injection and suppository to treat a symptom. So what will the net effect be of having within us natures hard wired solution?
I really do appreciate people finding an escape in being high. If you live in a city, and try to maintain independent thoughts, you almost need some thing to break up all the human on human crap we have to digest. If you cant step out into the woods, breathe the air, and touch the leaves, its very difficult to keep a calm and rational environment. Its very difficult to be valueably involved in humanity right now, by way of the culture we have developed, or has been deployed against us.
How did our species survive without treatment so long? How did we become this version of being, prior to having a center to seek dedicated help to our sickness? Really we all know, it had everything to do with daily practice.
We are designed to be agrarian culture. We really are equipped, built and designed to work in tandem with our host Gaia, to use effort and touch her. To give thanks for the good things, and to seek assistance in times of challenge.
For so many generations, thousands, we have held in our daily diet the use of plants. As a daily supplement, to relieve stress and pain, and to activate our own systems, we have developed a deep relationship to cannabis. We were designed to use it to activate mood balance, empower the natural healing ability's and occasionally to recreate.
Hemp, and the chemistry it held within was everywhere because of this. The animals we fed for food foraged it, and then it became part of us as we digested that life. Its so fundamental in the biological, it must have taken a long time of consumption to make it so integrated into our human-ness.
So as we again bring it into our selves, as we use hemp to make textiles and so many other useful things, as we again bring the dense protein into our body, we begin to activate our basic systems. Our health and mindset can only become more balanced. Our need for escapism will begin to be less relevant to our simple enjoyment of being alive.
I am terribly blessed. I don't have to be immersed in western culture to feel whole and make a living. My work is usually conducted in solitude, and I have been gifted with a drive to seek the common good. This, in conjunction to living on a side of a mountain immersed in Natures beauty , makes me free to just be. The more effort I output, the more alive I feel.
I don't have to survive life. I don't have to medicate to feel at easy with being-ness. This is a truly rare departure in our modern high compression media world..From here, I don't require drugs or alcohol to "feel" like I am getting the whole experience. This is a huge leap from my 20 years in Seattle, where everything was built around earning in order to party.
My life was dedicated to the American dream. I played it to the letter, working 60 hrs. a week, so I could afford a home. So that when I landed and put my feet up, it was time to get loaded. Countless hours, party's , boose beer and weed, so I could put my socks on Monday morning and do it again.
When it crashed down in 2008, when that life was now rendered impossible, and the value I thought I had created was erased by revaluation, I was right where I started when I got there, yet one fifth of my life had passed. Don't get me wrong, I had one hell of a ride. Music, fine dinning culture, it was great. But what I had failed to grasp in that fog of go go go was the meaning.
I had to leave to see what was destine to make me whole, in each breath, in each now moment. Nature showed me that, it showed me who I was, and what my purposefulness was meant to be. I have always been an Altruist, I just never clearly saw the difference between empowering people and enabling them.
I spent 100's of thousands of dollars being the cool guy, buying beer and smoke. and we laughed and had great times, made great music, and it helped me get to where I am now. I am truly thankful. But when you look back you realize a lot of what you hoped to accomplish got lost in the fog of the hang over. A lot of your objectives and conversations were lost in the cycle.
So when I see an option to that culture emerge from my country, I can help but get excited. I get excited for these latent sectors of our DNA to come alive. I get excited for our medicate to survive culture to slowly desolve. I get excited for our mental and physical health to become self regulating again. To have more and more of our public choose something that activates dreamy possibility's, as opposed to encouraging more audacity.
I cant wait for our current medical system to slowly be less of a factor in life, that we heal by lifestyle food and mental health practices that don't require chemistry to make treatment. By choosing a psychoactive over a depressant, we are far more likely to self medicate for good than victimize.
We might even heal this sickness in how we treat each other, and what we value as our culture. That the Weitico we currently suffer from might desolve into rational thought with problem solving. This is exactly what rooted our Endocannabinoid system. So you cant help but be excited about a world where humans are just happy living, and loving. Where we feel free to just work hard in proximity, and create the new systems that come from our old hardwired technology.
I Love You-
