Hi Ello Cooking Community! I'm Liz and I'm excited to report that I'm going to be the new lead for this community page.
I thought I would start by introducing myself. I run a recipe and food photography blog called Floating Kitchen (www.floatingkitchen.net). I post 2-3 new recipes a week. I make everything from desserts to savory dishes to cocktails. I try to cook and eat with the seasons as much as possible, although even I can't resist buying a pint of beautiful, fresh raspberries in the middle of winter!
Before I started blogging, I was a research scientist. My areas of focus were biology and biochemistry. I spent over 13 years training and working in both academic and private laboratories. But after all that, I decided it just wasn't for me anymore. I always had a passion for cooking and sharing food and recipes, so I dove head first into a career in food blogging. And now here I am today!
