Ello Guest Editor Natasha Wilson - Compton Cowboys
The Compton Cowboys are a group of young men whose passion is to ride horses in South Central LA, and spread tranquility and awareness through their community. In a lot of cases, they rehabilitate horses that were thrown away and bring them back to life. That alone is inspiring, but the location they thrive in, and the community they uplift are insanely commendable.
Guinness documented these incredible men here.
In the film, Abercrombie states, "A lot of the horses around here are throwaway horses. My horse was headed to the slaughterhouse when I got her. I've seen horses bone dry, skinny … and we bring them back to life. I think maybe, did I save the horse? Or did the horse save me?"
