The little film gig I just finished wound up being one of the best experiences I've had in the industry. I wasn't going to take the job in the first place since it was just a "little" additional shoot to build some new sets for a movie coming out next month but, I wound up spending half the budget of my last film project (a 6 week shoot) for a 4 day shoot. I met some really wonderful people and, hopefully, some new collaborators. I always start out hopeful at the beginning of a gig but, you never know how it will turn out or how you'll get along with people.
So, now I'm back at home, doing laundry, missing free food and about to start my taxes. Eventually, I'll get to dusting and vacuuming all the dog hair. Hopefully, I can get it all done while I wait for my workshop to no longer feel like Satan's oven. In the meantime, I've picked out some stones for my next pieces - a turquoise stacker, a favorite Linda Marie plume agate that will become a ring and a tourmaline in quartz for a protection amulet necklace I've had in mind for a while.
