Canary friends: Take advantage of the season! Sometimes you just need hot water to soak or scrub chemicals out of your clothing. In this case, it's a tie-dye top, that I unwisely bought at the art fair. (Unwisely because I didn't stop to think about the materials they using for dyeing.) So I'm taking advantage of the sun and 115-degree heat instead of paying for hot water, making my machine work, and possibly smelling up my laundry room.
Here's the top soaking in water and baking soda. I'll be changing the water, rinsing with my hose, and soaking several times.
How do YOU take advantage of the seasons when purifying clothing and household goods?
