Ancient Druids carried lavender to help them see spirits and ward off evil influences.
I create the different "Plant Spirits" by drawing from my own connections with nature. I use watercolor to lay down the color that I associate with each plant and incorporate a certain geometric shape that I feel reflects the personality of the plant spirit. I then draw the plant from real life, and add meditative linework around the center focal point.
