I created this account a long while ago and never did much with it. I guess I'm giving Ello another shot.
A lot has changed since my first post. New camera, new lenses, new gear, a few paying photo gigs, a freelance contract with a local Newspaper, a recent dive into a Real Estate Photography business, and many many new learning experiences. As I write this, I'm realizing how much I've evolved and how far I've come in the photography world in a short time.
I still love shooting rural landscapes, barns, and nature. I now have a newfound love for low light and night photography as I learn more and more about my camera and the art of long exposures.
OK so a little about the photo...
I was hired by a distant cousin last summer to capture some images of her parents property after her father had passed away. The old house and barn on the property was to be torn down so the land could be used for farming. This rusty old bike was the first thing that caught my eye when I entered the barn. As I set up my tripod and pointed the camera at The old bike, she exclaimed "I learned to ride on that old bike." She told stories of how she and her older sister used to ride the old bike down a steep incline where they had lived before moving to this property and how she remembered her father riding the bike up and down the road.
Just about everything in that old barn was linked to a memory and had some sort of story to tell. Each story told made every photo I had taken that day that much more special. I'll share a little something about each photo as I post them over the next few days.
