July of 2017 was a great month, I went on a photo assignment to Iceland for Pentax to help promote the Pentax K1, their first foray into digital full frame. The trip took me and the other UK ambassador to the north west of the island, the little visited Westfjords region. One of the things that made the trip so much fun was the variety of photographic subjects we ended up photographing. I specialise in abandoned locations, whilst Bill tends to shoot landscapes and water. The second day of the trip took us to the Latrabjarg Cliffs, home to Europe's largest colony of Puffins. The cliffs stretch for over 14km and in some places are over 400m high, we only walked the first km but in that short distance we saw various Gulls, Razorbills, Guillemots and Puffins. A first for me and firsts always make me happy.
