When I was a kid I played marbles. Peewees steelies shooters boulders. Bags and buckets of glassine color. Lost some won some. Many of them are still back there, back in the house that I grew up in. At least one jar of them on my old dresser. My nephews play with them now when they visit Oma and Opa. Meanwhile we play with another blue marble. One that they'll also get – from us, from me – one day. Hopefully still blue.
