Hello people. How's everyone doing? I've been away from ello for a little while because I've been working on Volume 1 of Classic Kicks digital magazine. It's filled with 124 pages of classic sneakers and sports inspired posters, ads, interviews and photographs and available on web browser, iOS and Android.
Volume 1 focuses on the intersection of sports, imagination, innovation, and luxury. Highlights of this issue include interviews with Chuck Kuhn, Bob Peterson and Bill Sumner - three photographers who created the visuals for the legendary Nike marketing campaigns of the 1980s. We discuss shooting Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Andre Agassi when they were still rising stars. There's a conversation with John Costacos, who built a poster empire conjuring up superhero athletes. Ricky Powell shares the stories behind his iconic Def Jam photographs, Stanley Chow takes a break from The New Yorker to illustrate classic footballers, witness the skateboarding revolution of the late 1970s through the lens of Jim Goodrich, Vans defines California lifestyle, explore the origins of luxurious European sportswear, and Roger Steffens decodes the mystery of the Rasta Man Nike running sneakers.

I'll share some more images and stories from the magazine throughout the day.
