Gore-Tex In The Club, Balenciaga In The Shrubs is the debut of experimental raver Lighght, it came out this very week (we're talking the second week of August, 2019), and it's quite the promising first entry into a long player format (Lighght has a previous EP for crazy vaporwave tape specialists, Dream Catalogue).
If you're one of those peeps that takes the whole deconstructed club music seriously (we most certainly do in Ello Tapes And Vinyl), this is top notch production, coupled with a serious exploration of pain within... the club?
"It’s a strange work about exploring self-indulgence as a model for self-healing, coming to terms with the arbitrary nature of pain and beginning the healing process whilst in an already vulnerable state: one of panicked ecstasy, where you keep cruising upward as you feel the safety of solid grounding evaporate beneath your feet."
It does sound like no debut this month, there's some sick sounds to be heard, and we're absolutely sure they do sound better on cassette.
So, come an' geddit in this here link, and listen to the whole enchilada down there-o:
