Ya'll know Autechre's got a new 8 hours record of sorts out, rite? Yah, they do and it's one of those projects that most peeps will say they loved without ever really checking out, after all, Autechre IS hard even if music writers and experimental music fans all seem to agree they're the dog's bollocks, but it is totally worth the effort just maybe not in a single sitting, and maybe with the good headphones.
Anyhoo, asides from the MP3 and Lossless versions, there's a CD box set and a vinyl box set, both are a bit pricey but come with the highest quality standards, here are the specs for the vinyl:
-ONE TIME PRESSING
-IN PRINTED INNER SLEEVES WITH FOIL BLOCK TO EACH COVER
-HOUSED IN A TWO PART RIGID SLIPCASE WRAPPED IN PRINTED OFFSET STOCK WITH FOIL BLOCK TO COVER
-INCLUDES 24-BIT WAV DOWNLOAD
So, yeah. If you're into forward thinking electronica that'll most likely be included into most of the year's end best of lists: Autechre is the way to go, they might take a bit of an effort, but it's guaranteed to be one of those releases people will still be thinking about in years to come. Plus: the design is a-fucking-mazing, c'mon.
