I've seen cunieform before. I'd never seen it made, though, and this is fascinating. The turning of the tablet itself reminds me of the gyrations of an old IBM Selectric typing element, though in reverse. And the shape of the marks coming from a squared-off papyrus reed stylus suddenly makes sense.
