What are two things you can’t live without?
A: oxygen? Gravity?
The young woman who was a medium brown with short hair and a fair colored jacket. Her eagerness and sincerity reminded me of my nieces. How could I not answer this young woman’s odd questions? More importantly she had intrigued me.
Most street canvassers ask about if you care about children and I look at them as if they’ve lost their natural mind. Who doesn’t care about children? I mentally knew I was early for my appointment in the city and so I had time to give to this young lady.
“A young person as yourself...”
I touched her arm with my gloved hand.
“Bless your heart.”
She was confused and I let her know I have nieces her age and those are the older ones. She said I’m not trying to gas you are anything, but you look very young. My body dysmorphia screamed in defeat, I had been feeling very over weight and unattractive and this young woman recognized and acknowledged a beauty I couldn’t see.
Sometimes we need to take the time and stop and talk with folks because you never know what may happen. Your day just might get better.
