humanity is flooding our city!
blue skies seep into the pavement and the clouds lie limp on the asphalt and all sentience is evaporating at a breakneck speed // the people are waking up and feeling everything at once. their pleural cavities are bursting with something they do not understand and cannot know
a tornado slurps up the Carew Tower // it inhales its visual transition into the Great Depression, the surpassed height// the rebar swirling through the sky is feeble and so are the bodies it impales. the snow globes in the gift shop explode and out roars a tide of heroin dealers and artisan food // overtaking us
the children, the homeless, the young men and women run as fast as they can towards an intangible destination // this is our city // we are so much a part of something that we have become our own
no importa de dónde eres, estamos contentos que seas nuestro vecino. // no matter where you are from, we’re glad you’re our neighbor. // .لا يهم أين أنت من، نحن سعداء كنت جارنا
