I am halfway through my Hatha Yoga Teacher training! What a journey it has been so far! Last class, our teacher told us about how to prepare students for a challenging pose by teaching simpler poses that strengthen all the same muscles needed for the challenging pose. Then, one day, after practicing the other, easier poses for a long time, the challenging pose just unfolds when the student is ready. I love this and think it is true about life, too. Or at least mine. I have known for a long time that there's something I needed to address in my own life but it seemed too challenging so I worked all around it. I started yoga. Then meditation. Then getting a coach and a stronger support team around me. Then, one day, the challenge in the middle of my life seemed less challenging to face and I just did it. It was wobbly and awkward but I did it. I'm learning to let my life unfold like my yoga practice, which is to say, mindfully, lovingly, joyfully, and with more ease than struggle. Namaste!
