WUETHRICHFUERST was founded by fashion designer Karin Wüthrich and graphic designer Matthias Fürst after their graduation from the MA-program of the Institute of Fashion Design Basel. The focus of their work doesn’t lie in the seasonal creation of new collections, but rather in the sustainable extension of one collection which shall continuously grow through the development of smaller series.

GREATLY INFLUENCED BY CONTEMPORARY ART, CYPRIOT BORN DESIGNER MICHALIS STYLIANOUDES (*1980) CREATES EXTRAORDINARY MEN’S AND WOMEN’S WEAR WHICH ACHIEVES THE BALANCE BETWEEN GEOMETRICALLY ABSTRACTED LINES AND FUNCTIONALITY OF EVERY PIECE. THE DESIGNER DEVELOPS INNOVATIVE SILHOUETTES THROUGHOUT DIFFERENT PROCESSES, INCLUDING THE CREATIVE HANDLING OF FABRICS, WHICH RESULT IN OUTSTANDING PIECES WITH EXPERIMENTAL CUTS WHOSE IMPERFECTIONS SHAPE THEIR UNIQUE CHARACTER. Kaia Naadira is filmmaker and photographer originally from the historic city of Selma, Alabama. Kaia’s work is inspired by and almost exclusively centers stories from the black, queer community, often with an experimental twist. Believing in centering truth in all their work, many of their projects are informed by real moments in their own life to remind people that they are not alone. Their work has been screened at the BlackStar Film festival in Philadelphia where they won an Audience Award for best short in their age group as well as the Black Trans Media film festival and Revolve Film Festival.
