hEllo! I’m an Eastern-European* bisexual filmmaker who dedicated a year of her life trying to kill her country's xenophobia with visual portraits of queer people. I named this project IDentity, and yet – the underlying theme of being part of sexual minority is barely mentioned. Because I believe that sometimes what’s not being said can be heard the most.
IDentity: Videos about identity within queer, Eastern-European diversity consists of six personal confessions, all of which try to answer a simple question: “Who or what am I apart from being LGBTQ+?”
My message as the director and editor of this documentary web series is that being queer is not our only, determining identity. Thus, it’s not fair to be scorned, condemned or neglected just because of it.
